Speaking of drip painting...
A work of "nail polish on paper" by Atlanta artist Scott Ingram is the focal point of this lovely room by Suzanne Kasler.
A show at the
Solomon Projects Gallery illustrates Ingram's technique.
Here is another Ingram installation seen at Apartment Therapy.
Very cool! I may have to get out all my old bottles of nail polish and create my own art ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo interesting to see his work in the Kasler room. Great post.
ReplyDeleteI really like the work of Scott Ingram. Great post!
ReplyDeleteSo, when do we get to see your husband's art?
I love the room at the top - now I think that is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteAlso really like this type of art, fantastic!
Sarah--Thanks for asking. I am still trying to talk him into letting me do a post on his work. I will forward your request.

Really like this post--the detailed shots of the artwork and the rooms they inhabit--beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI really like the sofa in the Kasler room, and I really love the art. I think the "paintings" are so appealing.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Yes, do work on your husband, we'd love to see his work!
ReplyDeleteThe art is fun - but the striped chairs in the top image is making cast around my dream house for something to re-cover!
ReplyDeleteI love the room and it's been a long time since I admired anything even remotely gray and burgundy! The nail polish technique is awesome. It reminds me of how many tables I ruined as a teenager!

That first room is wonderful! I think my favorite painting is really the gallery peice with all the drips at the bottom. I think it would be great to be able to buy one like that!

ReplyDeletehow devilishly clever! Hmm... I can think of a few ways to do this on my own, but he has such a clean, modern way of achieving his results. very nice post. I am always excited about art!
