Real Housewives

Even though last night's The Real Housewives of New York City premiere did not leave me bowled over with style inspiration, I did spot one pretty thing amongst the coffee talk.  

I don't know if it was the blue chain embroidery on Bethenny's bed linens or the Greek-key hem of her dress, but either way I am suddenly yearning for a crisp new duvet cover for Spring. (If anyone knows the manufacturer of the pattern, please share). In the meantime I have found some tempting options.

"Fiorentina" from Matouk is a simplified, graphic chain.

At a slightly lower thread-count, Williams Sonoma Home's Greek Key duvet is the more affordable option.

    Not crazy about the show but I do love the white dress with blue hem. I also got caught up in bravo's matchmaker show last night. did I miss something? did the world go madd???

    Ronda, over at "All the best" posted about some linens like these....
    Real, perhaps another "word" should be used.

    Agreed--nothing "real" about these nut jobs. I am addicted though.

    SGM--I cheated. This is a clip from that "meet the housewives" teaser show they did last month. I think the full scene will be part of next weeks episode. I should have known better than to try and pull one over on you.

    Isn't there a catalog with sort of an Austrian sounding name -- Sweitzer or something -- that has the linens like these, often seen on Miles Redd beds?

    Brilliant Asylum, I have to say... your comments about the Real Housewives over on SGM's blog are killing me!! So damn hilarious (and dead on, too). Your comment about Ramona's side barrette a la Chrissy from Three's Company almost made me fall out of my chair. You gals really make my day. Thank you, thank you.

    Thanks Michelle. I am a little too obsessed with this show. It's a trashy, train-wreck and I cannot turn away. I am glad that SGM gives me a place to vent every Wednesday morning.

    I was a bit underwhelmed by the show too. Do all housewives have generally bad taste?

    And did anyone else recognize Bethenny as a former contestant on Martha Stewart: The Apprentice??? I didn't hear any mention of that.
