Look how happy a bag full of hydrangeas makes Michael Kors. I thought I would follow his lead and get a few for myself this weekend...

Hydrangeas are favorite flowers of mine because they are relatively fool proof and a few blooms go a long way. And while my over sized tropical leaf arranging skills could use some work, I love how much green it adds to an otherwise neutral room.

When properly arranged, they should look more like they do in Kors' New York apartment above. In case you missed it, click

I'm a fan of the hydrangea, but I'm an even bigger fan of your crisp, white chairs. I'm reading a book on upholstering now so do things like this for myself.
ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas too. Funny bc here in Italy they think they bring bad luck... I got a lot of frowns all round when I asked the gardener if he thought they would grow well in our garden. Against all odds, I planted them and they are beautiful, bad luck and all!
ReplyDeleteI have that exact same leaf right now by a chair, plus a few puffy hydrangeas. We must have gone to the same place :)
ReplyDeleteThanks David. Learning to upholster yourself will be a useful skill--and save you a ton.
ReplyDeleteSweet Life, I had no idea Hydrangeas were bad luck in Italy. Very interesting. I hope you change the stigma with your garden.
ReplyDeleteI got these at Whole Foods. The tropical leaf was an expiriment that needs more practice. It always looks so good on Flipping Out.
ReplyDeleteHydrangeas are so beautiful! Love your chairs!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I love hydrangeas and peonies because they are so large. I love arranging them in big, monochromatic bunches. I would love to plant them in my backyard, but I don't think they would fare very well in the Houston climate.
ReplyDeleteyour chairs are stunning! the flowers look great.
ReplyDeleteI love them too and they last forever!
ReplyDeleteyour place is beautiful! are those the arrangements your "staff" destroyed?!
ReplyDeleteThank you and yes. Consider this the before photo. Puddles of water in the after.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty living room you have!!! More!
ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas. We have so many beautiful ones in our yard. Please head over to my blog and check out my latest hydrangea post :)
ReplyDeleteWhenever I get my girlfriend flowers she loves it. There's just something about flowers that women love.
