The problem with this picture is that there is no Ray Eames in it. But maybe she didn't want to be in Playboy!

The recent "Apartment Issue" of Dwell featured an interview with Jens Risom, the only member of the bunch still living. Risom recalled that the Playboy shoot had been a bit of a bust because as much as he would have liked to sit down for a drink and a yack afterwards, the group never really had time to get to know one another. Pity, but good to get some backstory on a famous photo.
