Art + Design

Artist Ann Carrington's work is everywhere these days! (If you watch Bravo's "9 By Design", then you know what I mean). This time, her Pearly Queen of Dalston appears in the whimsical London pad of accessories designer Lulu Guinness in Living Etc.

You can imagine the two as artistic soulmates...

I hope the collaborations keep on coming! For more photos of Lulu's Notting Hill home, visit Living Etc.

I do watch 9 by Design and I had noticed Ann's work in their home, but I didn't know her name. CONGRATS on your Elle Decor mention, Millie-how exciting!

Art and design are one and the same. I love the embellished British flag pillows. I came across your post this afternoon while browsing interior design blogs and the topic of window treatment selection was very interesting to me. Window treatments need style and design to create a focal art piece as the window. It is true that you must dress your windows appropriately to bring out their true beauty. Thank you for writing and as a special thanks to you and your readers, I would like to offer a 20% off coupon using this code upon checkout: BLG20.

My favorite kind of home decor is when an individual uses personal expression through color and intentionally purposed works of art. Beautiful.

The sequenced bag looks really stunning. The same idea can be incorporated in wall art as well as cushion cover.

I liked the living room design except for the red color. It would have been nice if some touch of purple was used instead of red.

I had a lavendar shade wall similar to the one shown in the second picture in my son's room. He liked in so much and it was very easy to get it designed and provide a kiddish look.
