Sex and the Sixties

Are you watching this show? Because until about 48 hours ago, I was not aware of the brilliance that is AMC's Mad Men. Now I am eleven episodes deep--thanks to the newly released DVD box set. (Thank you, TV Gods for sending me something good to watch this summer). Season Two starts Sunday, July 27. Yeay!!

Got hooked early on and thanks to iTunes, downloaded Season one ages ago... Just FYI, about USD$2/episode. I hope that the second season is released soon.

Just to state the obvious -- the art direction is stellar. So striking. The interiors and the clothes.

this show seriously makes me consider cable. . .must get it on DVD or netflix! I saw one episode ages ago and definately think I could be an addict if I watched more.

Agreed about the fabulous set design (and the clothes, the music, the make-up--even the swirly cigarette smoke wows me). I can't believe I did not join this party sooner!

I've been hearing so many good things about this show. You've prompted me now to add it to my queue. I can't wait to watch it! Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. Just watched 2 episodes On Demand (or whatever) and I am completely hooked. Episode 2, when the little girl came out with the garment bag covering her entire body (playing space aliens)may have been the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Like everyone else, I'm LOVING this show... dark, brilliant, and glamorous. Less than a week until season 2 premieres!

The Jerry Della Femina quote on this EW spread is too funny. I'm mad about Mad Men - I was hooked from the start. And Season 2 does not disappoint (so far).

SOoO glad I got a clue that you're back!!
