After 10+ years of having only a mattress on a metal frame, the search for a proper bed begins...

First thought? No. Too masculine. But after seeing the way
Phoebe Howard has styled the same bed, it kind of has a yessy aftertaste.

I need to make a trip to Mrs. Howard and Max. It has been way too long.
I too lived 'headboardless' for 15 years - never really found one I liked. I ended up having a headboard custom made by a decor store in the Westside, and I am thrilled. It is upholstered with a wood frame, in a simple Louis XVIish shape. Email me if you want more info. Sounds like you might have found a winner already, though!
A "yessy aftertaste" cracked me up.
I love an upholstered bed but they are prone to the realities of hair oils, etc.
I'm currently obsessed with a white leather tufted bed.
Love the headboard. But a warning--my bed has a footboard, and I hate it will all my heart. Makes making the bed ridiculously harder.
Totally agree--will be passing up the footboard.
