Atlanta Outside

Don't get me wrong, I love my town. More often than not, the weather is good, we have loads of design talent, and the living is relatively easy. That said, I was still somewhat surprised to find Atlanta ranked as number three on Outside Magazine's list of America's Best Cities.

Thank you. We will take it.

Very good living here, particularly for young adults I think. Really great weather that has some variation. You can feel very nice outside most of the year excepting some summer afternoons and some winter days.

That it kind of interesting, but concur with Terry. While we have the rep of "Hotlanta" and, conversely, January can be a bit cold (to me), it's a great mix. And I LOVE that there are often unseasonably warm days peppered throughout the year for outdoor time that seems almost like a splurge.

Atlanta has grown up a lot with the development of so many intown areas in the last 10 years. I live in Inman Park and its is truly a runner's/walker's/biker's paradise: side walks, tree lined streets, lovely houses and plenty of people watching, top that all off with our temperate climate! In fact, I Just did a whole post on the neighborhood-Come on down, People!

Wow!!! This is the perfect place that I have been looking for. It looks very peaceful, quiet and calm. How I wish to live in this place. Nice photo!!!

I was pretty surprised by that, too. Today I actually refused to go outside because of the heat, but I know our wonderful Fall is right around the corner.

I'm actually shocked! I'm an actual native Atlantan and I just don't think of our city as outdoorsy... I guess I've got to get outdoors!
