Glamour Shots

Thanks to Domino's untimely demise, I am a Glamour subscriber by default. (It is what Condé Nast sent me instead.) While I still pine for my long lost Domino, every now and then, Glamour will have a piece beyond their usual love-your-imperfect-body genre. October's issue, for example, had a Nate Berkus designed, Paul Costello photographed treat...

...Berkus's sister, Marni Golden's studio apartment.

Oh, how I miss these types of design stories: beautifully photographed, brilliantly styled, budget-minded little spaces. In case you missed it, the rest of the photos and article can be viewed on MSN's lifestyle page.

And it looks like your safari book makes an appearance :)

FYI, you can call Conde and ask for one of their other titles instead of the default Glamour.

Anything with a zebra on the cover seems to make it's way into my library. I have that New York book too (which is adorable, but too fat and heavy to read).

I had more than one subscription to Domino, so I know I had the other swapped to Vogue. I told them to "surprise me" with the other. Glamour it is.

I loved this issue for this alone- Nate is awesome, I love him!

And I am sure on top of the perk of having Nate as a brother that can make her tiny apt look so freaking good, I am sure she gets a few nice pairs of shoes from his boyfriend Brian Atwood. Life can be so unfair.

What! Nate Berkus' MOM just commented on your blog! That's pretty sweet. I personally have been falling head over heels for Nate's HSN collection. If you haven't checked it out yet, be sure to. House Beautiful finally wrote up the collection (can I call something at HSN a collection?), meanwhile the blogosphere has been screaming about it for months. Thus, I am sure quantities will be scarce soon.

and all I got was architectural digest which contains obscene houses and interiors that seem out of touch with the rest of the world. Maybe I'll see what else Conde Nast has to offer.

you can change that subscription to another magazine like arch digest or lucky....just call the magazine you want and tell them to switch your subscription over...

Great find. I switched out of Glamor so glad you found these shots. Berkus + Costello is a good combo!

Great post. Do you know who made the button-tufted chaise? It is, as Nate says, the kind of investment piece that will provide years of pleasure. Thanks in advance for your sleuthing?
