Inspired Red & Leopard

Charlotte Moss finds inspiration in Elsie de Wolfe's personal photo album, which she owns. I am inspired by the way she houses this treasure with red leather binding, lined in leopard print. More specifically, I am inspired to go shopping for accessories...

Brown Leopard patent leather Christian Louboutin heels with trademark red sole.

"Malawi Carla" handbag from Kate Spade.

J Crew has some cute cat prints this season too. Love the Louboutins! I am tempted to buy a pair of basic black Louboutins, but I am so hard on my shoes that they would get trashed in no time. So, I go to DSW and spend the savings on art and furniture!

I was given a pair of plain black ones as a gift and they are so pretty and comfortable. I am going to cry on the day they become too worn out. I will head to the J. Crew site now! Thanks.

That Elsie album is amazing. I love the way Moss always has her books or albums bound in sumptuous materials!

Isn't that a clever way to house the photo album (and how great that Moss owns that album!). I love leopard print and red together- a classic combination :)

I wonder if the bound Vogue magazines are lined the same way...

I love the fact that Charlotte Moss seems to be an excellent keeper of the flame so to speak. She owns a lot of items from famous women and you know that she really cherishes them. I sdmire her for that...and her excellent taste of course.

I agree with things that inspire--less expensive shoes = better art and furniture. My architect husband is on board with that one, too. Storing albums in boxes is nice because there are so many beautiful boxes available now. I am big fan of the boxes and albums available from Kolo. But if I had those bound Vogues, they'd be out on the shelf!

For the price of a purse, you could buy a nice antique that will last for generations. On the flip side, I hear that oh-so-touching speech Stanley Tucci gives Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada about fashion being the art you live your life in. It's always a trade-off (at least it is with my budget).

preach, sista' preach! I love the transition from desktop accessories to elegant footwear. Sumptuous.

Charlotte Moss has such a way with style. And like you, I wonder if she doesn't store her Vogue magazines in much the same way ;)

Sooo wonderful! A little bit of leopard should be in everyone's wardrobe. Just a little.
