Armour & Co.

It's always interesting to see how Atlanta's shop owners decorate their own homes. Jayme Armour Leffler, owner of Armour & Co. Home Emporium let the Atlanta Journal and Constitution into her 1920's cottage and it's actually refreshing to see that it's not a "showroom". She mixes the items she sells in with her personal collection of antiques for a very approachable feel.

See the rest of her house in the AJC Lifestyle Gallery.

Armour & Co. is located in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta.

I love her house! I live in an old cottage, so can get great ideas from her. Also need to head up to Atl to see her shop! Thanks for posting

I've always wanted to live in that store, and now I want to live in her house, too.

Armour & Co. is a very pleasant store, amazingly cozy with lots of color and a view to Va-Hi. I feel good inside. Ponce Heights is a hidden neighborhood between Emory and Decatur, hilly, forested, and curvy with many relatively modest but charming houses. A lot going for the neighborhood. It was on my errand route this morning.

Ponce Heights sounds nice. I will have to check it out the next time I am in the area. For some reason, I was thinking they were talking about Poncey-Highlands.

Thanks for the heads up...I too find the homes of shop owners and designers and architects to be of endless fascination.

OK, I am about to order your husband's invention for my kids for Christmas! What if it doesn't make the numbers for production? It is a very cool idea.

Love the house, the first vignette is beautiful. Maybe one day in our travels we will get to Atlanta again! Great inspiration - thanks!

Thanks for the comments and Happy Halloween!

TTI, I am not sure how long they give the Bobble Brush to make quota, but maybe I should do a post on it. It is actually a funny story about how it came to be.

How did I miss this? That shop is up the street from me and it's one of my all-time favorites. I've been coveting Octavio Octopus for quite some time (I think he's about $1800 though). I'm so glad that you posted this!

Me again! I've been soaking in Armour & Co.'s window displays on my coffee runs this week - there's a touch of that Hollister Hovey-esque gothic going on. It's stunning and very elegant. I highly recommend a visit if you haven't been in awhile, unless of course you are trying to budget like I am. Right now I'm only allowed to look in from outside!

Cool! I love the wall art, the sketching and the gold "leaf" mirror. I'm also a huge fan of glass art, and the blue glass vases are great.
