I am probably the last person on the planet to know about this book, but the second I pulled it off the shelf at a friend's house, I knew I had to order a copy for myself. Even though it was published twelve years ago, At Home with Books: How Booklovers Live with and Care for Their Libraries is my new favorite. With text by Estelle Ellis and Caroline Seebohm, and photographs by Christopher Simon Sykes, this is a fantastic collection of libraries and their caretakers. I could honestly stare at the pages in this book for hours. There are over 200 images and it is fun to scrutinize each of these well-known book lover's collections.

You will love it. There are honestly so many great photos, that it was hard to choose which ones to post.

The libraries with all the books covered in the same paper always intrigue me - so stylish - but how do you find anything? Very lovely post.

i love the idea of checking out the libraries of others. and i loved the previous post about books in the dining room--especially when you live in a small space, but absolutely cannot live without your books!

Well you have hit a soft spot in my heart. I could live with only books in my home nothing else. Well a comfortable chair would be good. Thanks for the recommendation on this book. Any room with books in it is great, but these pics are especially fab!
