Charleston

So, I am finally getting around to posting some of the photographs I took last weekend in South Carolina.

Charleston is one of those cities that is so beautiful, it makes your heart beat a little faster--especially coming from Atlanta where there is very little in terms of historic architecture. Although I did not have time to do much antique shopping, I did have a chance to wander the neighborhood and listen to the paint peel. One of these days I am going to make a special trip just to shop (or at least browse), since there never seems to be enough time.

Speaking of historic neighborhoods, don't forget about the Castleberry Hill Loft Tour this Saturday and Sunday in Atlanta.

Happy weekend!

One of the most beautiful cities in the country -- well maybe in fact the loveliest.

My sister-in-law and her husband live in Charleston and it is one of my favorite cities. You almost don't need to shop, the city itself is such a jewel. It's amazing how much has survived considering their hurricane history.

Everyone needs to visit at least once. Style court is right that "lovely" probably describes it better than beautiful. I would say San Francisco is beautiful, but Charleston has a history and a charm that makes it a unique American city.

I adore Charleston. Not only does it have a fascinating history, and amazing architecture, but it has world class restaurants too! I love the images you posted.
