Photographic

Photography by Rinne Allen.

Decorno's call for "Original Content Week" has lead me to two startling realizations:

1) My house is nowhere near being camera ready. (Actually, this is not that surprising).
2) I don't know how to use a digital camera.

I know this may seem impossible in these modern times, but somehow I was absent on the day that everyone, including my technologically challenged parents, learned how to operate one of these newfangled gadgets. Of course I know how to take the photo, but since it is usually on one of my husband's 10 different cameras, I am still lost as to how it arrives neatly in my computer file, if not emailed to me.

While I am experimenting with ports and data cards, I will leave you with the beautiful, macro-organic photographs of a much more talented artist, Rinne Allen. You may recognize her environmental photos from the Hable Construction website, but she was also the photographer for our small backyard wedding in 2005.

Yours truly with bouquet of hydrangea and fiddle head ferns. Photography by Rinne Allen.

So beautiful! Love the flowers, love the short dress!

Thanks. The thought of standing in grass wearing a full on gown seemed kind of silly to me, so I was so happy to find this one.

I just looked at her website and her pictures are wonderful. I'm sure your wedding pictures are amazing--would love to see more!

P.S. Don't feel bad--I just got a digital camera last Christmas, to replace my APS camera, a film which didn't ever really take off like I thought it would!

p.s. hope you're feeling better.

Is this pic from your wedding? What the heck, you are GORGEOUS!

AND... if so, I want to see MORE!

And, don't worry. My pictures are horrid, too... I know how to work a digi camera, but I'm just the worst photographer EVER!

Ok, now I can NOT get over this beautiful shot. I must see more pics!

Thank you. I am feeling a bit better from this stupid cold.

Just to clarify, the bottom photo is from our wedding. The top is one of Rinne's gorgeous commercial photos. I just realized we are both wearing white dresses.

Your Blog is so beautiful, I can't believe you don't know how to operate a camera??

Yes, I managed the basics of HTML code, so I should get this photo upload figured out v. soon. I blame the cold meds for impeding my progress.

Your picture is stunning! Show more!!!! The short dress - sleeveless? - so chic - and the hydrandgea - beautiful.

ok - don't worry about "figuring" out how to upload the camera. All you have to do is plug it in basically - the camera and the software does the rest. It's totally easy - just plug it in and let it do it's work. You just have to say enter enter - whatever, it's really easy - you'll see. Take a chance and plug it in!!

One of the most beautiful and unique bouquets I have seen in a long time.

Sorry to hear that you have been sick. I did not realize how much I enjoyed your daily posts until they were not there!

I love shorter dresses too. And your bouquet is gorgeous.

If it's any consolation, I have to borrow the digital camera from work whenever I want to shoot anything, otherwise it's my old manual Pentax k1000.

Every time I save up the money for a camera, I seem to buy furniture or clothes...

I just figured out the camera up-load thing when I started the blog. Imagine the patience of Mr. Blandings, who for four years or so has been responding to my desperate pleas. As Cote says, the camera and the software all but do it for you. And the picture is absolutely gorgeous.
