Remember this innovative dressing room? Well, the amazing space (and the grand, Yong Pak designed/Dan Carithers decorated townhouse to which it was a part) is priced to move. The 6,885 square foot home is on sale, currently marked down from $4.1 million to $2.85 million.
While it does not come furnished, many of the stylish finishes, like the cabinetry and wall treatments remain.

that's too funny you posted this. i saw it the other day on line with it's new and improved price and thought of you. i think i wrote to you back in octobr abtou my forcing hubby to walk way down p'tree and we tried to go see this open house like 3 times but there was never anyone there when they said there would be. and my husband, not being from atlanta, or the states even just kept saying 'i can't believe they could ask so much for a house with a view onto burger king?!'
When we were photographing it, I wanted to move right in...unfortunately even at this price I still can't afford it. Sorry you didn't get an opportunity to see it, Sweet Life (the house wasn't open every day, but there should have always been someone there during published hours). Yes, it is definitely urban living, but the development -- and this particular townhouse -- are pretty fabulous.
I know it must be amazing, the pictures speak for themselves. I still keep my old copy of Southern Accents by my bedside table, all tattered in pieces. I'm all for beautiful urban living, and love p'tree battle area, the the burger king has got to go! I was actually just going to ask if anyone knows where I could find a floor plan... I looked on the site but didn't see anything.
Here is the original article in Southern Accents. It shows the floorplan.

The building seems really well built and is in a great location, which is why the price is probably still so steep, but I think things were a very different when it first hit the market. I really hope that the new prices will attract some buyers. Not that I have any personal stake in this development, I just don't want good design to be replaced with cheap condos. Atlanta has enough of those already.
Does anyone EVER go to that Burger King? I never see any cars there.
Hey don't go trashing my Burger King!! I've eaten there 100's of times but not since there was a theater at Peachtree Battle Shopping Center. Might be worth a visit now that Regents Park has improved the view.
Anyway they would mark this one down just as I was needing a flat.
Thanks for the stroll down memory lane. Inside -- I mean seeing it in person -- the attention to detail is just amazing.
what a lovely house - I'm especially adoring the bathroom for some reason, even though I'm crazy about animal prints too!
Gorgeous townhouse, xv.
love all the natural light in this pretty townhouse! maidenhair fern...the last ingredient to complete any room..now if i could only get mine to grow as thick as the one in this home.
